The team at Easton Designs and Consulting often receive the same repeated questions from the public when they are exploring our design, remodeling, and construction services and products. Although ever project and client is unique with specific needs and requirements, we have gathered a list of most common asked questions. Do you charge for consultations?

Consultations are complimentary. However, if you are looking for a written estimate, we base all our projects off design work. Our estimating process is very accurate and allows our team the ability to give you an “in-person estimate”. If a formal estimate is desired, we require a deposit toward design work,

Do you Draft Plans?

Yes. We can take your plans and design from start to finish. Our team of designers and draftsman are all in-house.

Will you handle the plan submission with the cities or jurisdictions?

Yes, additional fees may be involved depending on what is required, and the time or meetings involved with HOAs or City/jurisdiction reviews.

How long does it take to get my plans approved?

Depending on the jurisdiction and project size, this can vary. Our team’s turn around for corrections is typically 3-4 days assuming no engineering or redesign is needed.

Do you have a minimum project price?

Yes, our minimum is based on project type. We invest a lot of time and preparation to deliver a quality product. We use high grade material and our quality sets us apart which is why we won’t be able to compete with your local handyman or unlicensed contractor. To give an example: Small Bathrooms start at $20,000, Outdoor remodels start at $30,000, Small kitchens start at $45,000, Small additions start at $50,000, Junior ADUs /Garage conversions start at $80,000, ADUS start at $120,000.

How much do you charge for Designs?

Depending on the level of design work involved, this price can vary. An entry level project will require a minimum deposit of $1,000

What is your availability and lead time?

Once permits have been pulled and or the deposit is received, we will schedule your project to have an anticipated 2-3 week start date. Keep in mind, plans and design work may happen right away but is the first step to your project and may take several weeks if the project is complex or longer if permits are required.

What type of construction can you do?

We can design and build any residential project you can envision.

How does the design and construction process work with your company?

We require a minimal deposit as a retainer to begin designing and providing a formal estimate. Once a design is finalized and the estimate is approved, we will begin the Planning and permitting process. Once the project is ready to commence construction, we meet with you for a 3rd time to confirm everything is in order, mark the jobsite and begin working while maintaining communication through group messaging and a client portal.
